Most Expensive Starbucks Drink of the Day: Logan A. Warren of Geek on Call has reportedly set a new world record for most expensive Starbucks drink. Congrats?
Logan says a “laughing barista” spent 30 minutes helping him concoct a Trenta monstrosity that set him back an eye-opening $23.60.
That’s nearly three bucks pricier than the previous most expensive Starbucks drink. Hooray?
So what was in Logan’s lavish libation?

16 shots of espresso, a shot of soy milk, caramel flavoring, banana puree, strawberry puree, vanilla beans, Matcha powder, protein powder, and a drizzle of caramel and mocha.

The so-called (by me) Hangover Marauder clocks in at a heart-stopping-and-restarting 1,400mg of caffeine — that’s as much as 14 regular cups of coffee!
And the taste? “Tolerable, but not good.”
The hell you say.

The full text of the letter from Mark Zuckerberg to potential shareholders contained in Facebook’s IPO filing:

“Facebook was not originally created to be a company. It was built to accomplish a social mission — to make the world more open and connected.
We think it’s important that everyone who invests in Facebook understands what this mission means to us, how we make decisions and why we do the things we do. I will try to outline our approach in this letter.
At Facebook, we’re inspired by technologies that have revolutionized how people spread and consume information. We often talk about inventions like the printing press and the television — by simply making communication more efficient, they led to a complete transformation of many important parts of society. They gave more people a voice. They encouraged progress. They changed the way society was organized. They brought us closer together.
Today, our society has reached another tipping point. We live at a moment when the majority of people in the world have access to the internet or mobile phones — the raw tools necessary to start sharing what they’re thinking, feeling and doing with whomever they want. Facebook aspires to build the services that give people the power to share and help them once again transform many of our core institutions and industries.
There is a huge need and a huge opportunity to get everyone in the world connected, to give everyone a voice and to help transform society for the future. The scale of the technology and infrastructure that must be built is unprecedented, and we believe this is the most important problem we can focus on.
We hope to strengthen how people relate to each other.
Even if our mission sounds big, it starts small — with the relationship between two people.
Personal relationships are the fundamental unit of our society. Relationships are how we discover new ideas, understand our world and ultimately derive long-term happiness.
At Facebook, we build tools to help people connect with the people they want and share what they want, and by doing this we are extending people’s capacity to build and maintain relationships.
People sharing more — even if just with their close friends or families — creates a more open culture and leads to a better understanding of the lives and perspectives of others. We believe that this creates a greater number of stronger relationships between people, and that it helps people get exposed to a greater number of diverse perspectives.
By helping people form these connections, we hope to rewire the way people spread and consume information. We think the world’s information infrastructure should resemble the social graph — a network built from the bottom up or peer-to-peer, rather than the monolithic, top-down structure that has existed to date. We also believe that giving people control over what they share is a fundamental principle of this rewiring.
We have already helped more than 800 million people map out more than 100 billion connections so far, and our goal is to help this rewiring accelerate.
We hope to improve how people connect to businesses and the economy.
We think a more open and connected world will help create a stronger economy with more authentic businesses that build better products and services.
As people share more, they have access to more opinions from the people they trust about the products and services they use. This makes it easier to discover the best products and improve the quality and efficiency of their lives.”

Angry Birds Dress Makes Big Fashion Statement
Angry Birds has made its way into fashion before with the introduction of t-shirts and accessories, but the wife of a Rovio executive is taking the brand to a whole new level with an off-the-shoulder ballroom gown that pays tribute to the widely popular game. Teija Vesterbacka – who is m…

Note to Dream Cup organizers:We thank you and..

I’d like to note a few things:
1. Please open your gates earlier. Some people might want to see the teams practice kicks so they’d like to be seated earlier. We are patient enough to line up and not complain so I think you’d understand we would like to see everything we went there for.

2. We thank you for keeping us safe with all the security around. The guys who were in black and yellow were very polite, courteous and apologetic enough at times and I applaud them for doing a great job. Some of the guys who were in blue though were different.

I understand that for us seated in the bleachers you don’t want that TV shot of people “hanging around in the fence”, but next time just instruct some of the boys in blue to be more polite please. An “Okay ma’am/sir, please take a seat after you take your picture, thank you.” or “Please keep a safe distance on the fence, thank you.” is all we need. I didn’t appreciate some of them telling me to sit down in a brusque manner when all I wanted to do was take an unobstructed picture of the players. We are separated 10 meters away from the field by reinforced fence, a bush, burly security guards on the track oval and corporate sponsors display on field. I don’t think we’ll be scaling the fence anytime soon.

3. Thank you so much for making it possible for us to watch a historic game. The ticket prices may have been a bit steep but we appreciate the effort and contests you did to make it more affordable. We like that a lot. Thank you Santi Araneta, UFL, and Smart.

4. A Galaxy booth would have been great.

5. I guess a “Meet and Greet” was out of the question too due to perhaps security concerns or a tight travel itinerary.

All in all it was a great experience. Thank you!Thank you!Thank you!

MUCH ADO ABOUT AN AIRPORT.

Airports where beauty, form and function combine:(make-up?)

T4 Barajas Airport, Madrid Spain designed by Richard Rogers Partnership

Its colorful pylons supporting an undulating bamboo-lined roof create a series of daylight-filled canyons in which both arriving and departing passengers pass through one spectacular space, albeit on different levels. The terminal, designed to handle 35 million passengers a year, is Madrid’s bid to become Europe’s dominant air-hub.

Sondika Airport Bilbao Spain by Santiago Calatrava

It is nicknamed La Paloma, or the Dove, for its birdlike silhouette. Inside, the terminal is nakedly sculptural, an unadorned study in sunlight and the rhythmic patterns created by its concrete ribs. Even the parking garage, partially buried in a green hillside, is well thought out and beautiful.

Incheon International Airport South Korea designed by Fentress Architects

This has been a frequent presence at the number one spot on lists of the world’s best airports. Not only is it efficient and welcoming, it is intended to be a showcase of Korean culture. The bow of the roofline emulates a traditional Korean temple, the arrival hallways are lined with 5,000 years of Korean artifacts, and the airport’s wildly biomorphic train terminal is one of the few places on earth that still looks genuinely futuristic. Visit the Pine Tree Garden in Millennium Hall and the Wildflower Garden in the basement of the Transportation Center.

The plethora of food vendors at Incheon will melt any food lover’s heart. Passengers can dine at Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Western restaurants, some of which are operated by South Korea’s high-end hotel management. Sip on wine at Panorama Lounge, which offers some of the best views of Incheon’s runway. Be sure to dine on dessert at one of the 14 bakeries and ice cream parlors scattered around the four-level airport before boarding your flight.

Marrakech Menara Airport, Morocco designed by E2A Architecture

This dramatic new airport terminal is an example of how Modernism and traditional Islamic architecture have begun to cross-pollinate. This muscular approach is softened by the exquisite arabesque patterns on the building’s glass skin, which cast complex, ever-changing shadows on the terminal’s floors. There are 72 photovoltaic pyramids generating power on the roof.

Airports you would want to get stuck in:

Changi Airport, Singapore

The airport is loaded with freebies for travelers: Xbox 360 and Playstation games, film screenings at the in-house movie theater, themed nature gardens around the terminals, and even a shuttle bus to take you on a guided tour around the island. Passengers waiting for their transfer flights can refresh themselves with a quick shower, dip into the airport’s rooftop swimming pool, or check into a napping facility.
